Does Dr. Gallo provide remote (i.e., telehealth) or in person services?
Dr. Gallo’s practice is fully remote. She offers telehealth sessions via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform for clients located in Massachusetts and New York. Please note that Dr. Gallo does not offer in-person sessions at this time.

How long is a course of therapy?
The length of treatment can vary based on each client’s needs and preferences. Dr. Gallo provides goal-directed, evidence-based treatment. Many individuals will find benefit from a course of approximately 12-20 sessions.

Does Dr. Gallo’s practice accept health insurance?
Dr. Gallo does not bill insurance companies directly and is not part of any insurance networks. Some insurance plans, such as PPO plans, may provide partial reimbursement for services rendered by out-of-network providers. You may wish to check with your insurance provider to determine whether you have any out-of-network coverage for mental health services and to request more specific information about your plan's reimbursement rate, deductible, and mental health coverage. Dr. Gallo can provide documentation that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have out-of-network coverage that you would like to use. Please note that Dr. Gallo cannot guarantee you will receive any reimbursement from your insurance company for session fees.

What is the Patients First law in Massachusetts?
On January 1, 2021, Governor Baker signed An Act Promoting a Resilient Health Care System that Puts Patients First (“Patients First”) into law which makes significant changes to the state’s healthcare laws. The law requires health care providers to tell patients how much patients will pay for planned hospital stays, medical procedures, health care services, and referrals – based on the patient’s specific health insurance plan. Please note that Dr. Gallo does not bill insurance companies directly and is not part of any networks. You can review the notice of rights available to you as a patient along with more detailed information on the Mass.gov website.
